Based in Florida, Wrinkles the Clown’s creator is an individual. He dons a full clown outfit and a spooky clown face mask when he plays the role. In reality, he is a clown for hire, and his Florida employment made him famous in 2014. To learn more about Wrinkles the Clown’s life story, a documentary film about him will be released in early October. Watching the documentary’s trailer is highly recommended if you haven’t already.
The anonymous creator of Wrinkles was interviewed for a 2015 video piece by a news crew. He stated that his main objective was to “simply enjoy yourself and earn some additional cash on the side.” Wrinkles the Clown’s phone number would be called by pals looking to play a scary practical joke on their friends or by parents of little children who wished to scare them foolish. After that, they would submit their request and, for a charge, Wrinkles would eventually perform his gig. Wrinkles went viral because of his eerie appearance, even though there wasn’t any harm.
Film documentary
To gather funds for a documentary about wrinkles, local filmmaker Cary Longchamps launched a Kickstarter campaign on February 3, 2016. At the end, the project failed, having received $3,853 from 87 backers out of the $45,000 required. It was soon after revealed that Wrinkles had started negotiations to produce the movie with other Los Angeles-based production groups. The media’s early interest in Wrinkles in late 2015 was sparked by Longchamps’ viral marketing campaigns; one of the earliest internet videos showcasing Wrinkles was shot at Longchamps’ home, as Naples Daily News discovered in December 2016.
Longchamps, however, disputes these allegations, claiming that the film shoot in his house was really a coincidence. Additionally, until the 2016 clown sightings, the sheriff’s office in Collier County, Florida, claimed it had not received any reports of “creepy clowns stalking neighbourhoods, or walking the streets” with the intention of frightening people. The Collier County sheriff’s office was unable to corroborate any of these sightings.
The documentary’s rights were acquired by Magnolia Pictures subsidiary Magnet Releasing, which specialises in foreign and genre films, according to a Variety story dated August 27, 2019. On October 4, 2019, the documentary Wrinkles the Clown was released in the United States.

But since he’s never been known to travel, employing him for out-of-state scares won’t likely get very far for those who live outside of the Florida region.
