He started his graduation from Kirori Mal College, New Delhi but after six months he dropped his graduation and shifted to Mumbai, to full fill his dream to become a singer. Career

In 2003, Venkat Subramaniyam and Samar Puri were collegeous in school. They both are guitarists and want to make a band and so Samar takes his younger brother Sanam as a lead singer. So to make it big they all come to India for college. Puri brothers started college in Delhi where Sanam started to involving in college rock circuits. After that Sanam started collecting trophies for his singing. In his college days, he was a member of a band called “Bandish”. Then Samar and Sanam moved to Mumbai to build a career in the music industry.

Then Venky reconnected all members of the band. In 2010 they all took part and became winners in a national competition named “Times Music Supasters” as the “SQS Project”. Under the SQS Project they make their first song “Supasters”. in 2014 they again renamed the band name “Sanam Band”.
