History
Under the code DZMB, Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) established the city’s first music radio station. It began broadcasting at 760 kHz on the AM band on July 1, 1946. The station was turned over to Cebu Broadcasting Company, a branch of the Elizalde family, which also owns MBC. It served as both DZPI, a 1949-founded station, and DZRH’s sister station.
